Seaside Oregon- Feb. 2009

We went to Seaside, Oregon with the Hernandez, Munoz, and Krupp Families for Presidents Week. It was great. This is the view from the balcony of the condo that the Hernandez's were so nice to let us invade. They have a timeshare that they invited us to share.

We saw lots of beautiful scenery as we walked on the beach. The weather was beautiful. Cold and clear. So it was perfect. I think it was almost the best weather we have ever had when we have gone to the beach since moving to Washington 10 years ago!

We all took turns cooking and cleaning up. That was great. "When is dinner?" is always more fun than "I am getting dinner ready, hold your horses!"

Of course there was a lot of writing on the beach. This is just one that Paul, Valerie and Colleen found as we were strolling on the beach. No children were around but we instantly knew that is was my Hannah that had written this message!

Since the beach was so close by there was a lot of TV watching. It gets too boring to just run and play and wade.

The kids did have a lot of fun. They built dams to try to divert the ocean. It didn't really work. The ocean is still there. But they had hours of fun trying.

We saw beautiful vistas all over.
I took a lot of photos!

Hannah has unlimited
texting. She is :) about that!

We found baby jelly fish and saw lots of seagulls.

These are baby jelly fish. Cool!

We even visited alien landscapes!

We saw a lot. Sometimes a bit too much!!!!

We had fun at a couple of Bon Fires. Here is Allison and Malachi.

Jim baying at the moon.

Most of us out of the smoke at last!

We were entertained with stories by Mia, dancing and song by Mason and Malea, soccer with Hannah and just watching the fire. We also did experiments to see what happens when marshmallows are incinerated. Very interesting. You should do that experiment yourself!

I took lots of photos. Here is Hannah. Isn't she darling?

Here is Abby. I have such cute kids! Abby has such different looks! Kid and Hippy Kid in these two.

The beds were comfy.

The kids were entertaining and best of all entertained themselves most of the time!!!!

We really had fun. Walking on the beach is a very calming thing for me. I would like to live on the beach all the time. Jim does not want to live on the beach. When retirement comes we will have to compromise I think! I also love to take photos and wish I had a really cool camera that I could then take really cool pictures. I would love to travel the world taking pictures and walking on the beach!
