no flood at our house!

This is what Snoqualmie Falls usually looks like.

This is a photo of Snoqualmie Falls on Jan. 7, 2009.

As some might have heard, all of Western Washington is underwater. Well, actually many are. But we have come through unscathed and dry. Some people were not as lucky. There were road closures of all the freeways into the area. I-5, I-90, White pass, and Stevens Pass were all closed or are still closed. The train was not running. And there are a good number of people stuck in flooded areas. The only problem we had was that all the water made skiing impossible! The days I had planned on skiing, the pass was closed and Hannah's ski club was postponed today. But that is just a little nuisance. Not even worth talking about. It started with the snow in early December and we in the Northwest have been dealing with weather issues ever since. All the snow contributed to the flooding, mud slides and avalanches. There are videos of all of the flooding and the falls on http://www.youtube.com/. Just search Snoqualmie falls or Seattle flooding. Since I can't figure out how to get them onto this, the Feltis Family blog, you will have to go that route!
